A man has been confirmed dead and another seriously injured in a lone fatal road traffic accident which occured at Lenuwa on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, Obafemi Owode local government of Ogun State.
According to the first information report made available by the Ogun Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), the acrash was caused by overspeeding and loss of control on the part of the driver.
The vehicle involved a Toyota Camry with registration number EPE 294 GE, which was conveying the two passengers skidded off the road into the nearby bush.
The FRSC reported that the dead passenger was taken to Fakoya morgue while the injured victim was is also receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital.
The accidented vehicle has been evacuated to the police station.
