Ogun: So Safe Corp Arrests Criminal With Ammunition

The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps has apprehended an armed crime suspect during a naming ceremony with arms and live ammunition.

This was disclosed in a press release by the State Commander Corps, Soji Ganzallo and issued by its spokesperson, Moruf Yusuf. 

"On Friday, 19th May, 2023, the law abiding citizens of Ilukosi Olorunda town, Iro in Obafemi Owode Local Government Area put a call through to the Corps Area Command, requesting for its prompt intervention to pick a suspect, who may be planing to carry out a criminal act.

"The officers and men of the Corps, the Owode Egba Zonal Command under ACC Jimoh Rasaki Omoniyi, were charged to go after one Mr Segun Oke alias Bouncing, who has been threatening the peace of the Ilukosi community and its environ.

"The suspect on sighting the So-Safe team, took on his heel and went straight to a bush to hide the double-mouthed locally made pistol, including live and used ammunitions in his possession.

"The suspect was captured and the arms and ammunitions were recovered from where it was hidden. 

"The suspect and the exhibits - one double-mouthed locally made pistol, two live and one used cartridges found with the suspect have been handed over to the Nigeria Police, Iro Police Post for onward transfer to Owode-Egba Divisional Headquarter for further investigation and likely prosecution," the statement disclosed.
