Ogun State: 35-Year-Old Man Arraigned For Allegedly Raping Physically Challenged Girl

A 35-year-old man identified as Oluwafemi Kehinde, was on Tuesday arraigned before the Ota Magistrates’ Court in Ogun for allegedly raping a physically challenged girl  at No. 36 Success Street, Abule Isale, Ilogbo Road, Ota

It was gathered that Kehinde committed the crime at exactly 10:30 pm on February 12, 2020, despite knowing that the victim was physically challenged.

The Prosecutor, Insp.E.O. Adaraloye, who confirmed the report to the court added that the defendant committed the unlawful crime by using his manhood to caress her private part without her consent which contravened Section 360 of the Criminal Code Vol.1, 2006.

The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Delivering judgment, the Magistrate, A.O. Adeyemi adjourned the case until June 19 for trial.

The Magistrate also granted him bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum who must reside within the court’s jurisdiction and be gainfully employed with evidence of tax payment to the Ogun Government.
