Ogun State Reverses Appointments Of 75 Traditional Rulers

Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, on Friday announced the reversal of the appointments of 75 traditional rulers elevated by the former governor of the state, Senator Ibikunle Amosun.

According to a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Kunle Somorin, the State Executive Council, at its first meeting held on Thursday, quashed the traditional rulers’ appointments in line with the committee’s recommendations.

The statement said that the council's decision was disclosed by the Commissioner for Industry, Trade and Investment, Mrs Kikelomo Longe, who briefed reporters on the outcome of the SEC meeting.

“The council approved the revocation of the appointments of 75 minor chiefs as Coronet Obas in Legal notice number three of 2019", she was quoted as saying.
