Okupe: Labour Party's Worst Better Than PDP, APC's Best — Kenneth Okonkwo [Video]

Nollywood star cum politician Kenneth Okonkwo has weighed in on the Doyin Okupe saga, stating that the worst criminal case in Labour Party is still better than those of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Okupe who was Director-General of the Peter Obi presidential campaign council was forced to resign following his recent conviction and sentencing in the money laundering case.

Speaking on the issue in an appearance on Arise TV, Okonkwo stated that it is the convention that any politically sensitive case be suspended until after an election.

The actor while arguing that Okupe's case was a political ambush added that Labour Party members have nothing to worry about because the former campaign DG made an "honest mistake".

Okonkwo referenced former president Olusegun Obasanjo's damning words on Atiku and Wike's allegations about Iyorchia Ayu's corrupt practices, saying Labour Party's worst is better than the opposition parties' best.

"Look at PDP, we have President Obasanjo, who happened to be the only principal that Atiku Abubakar ever served as a political appointee.

"He said Atiku Abubakar is one of the most corrupt human beings on earth... And do you know what's happening? Wike said Ayu is the most corrupt national chairman on record.

"He said he collects billions of naira and that Atiku is aware of it. Has he resigned?

"So, when you talk about comparison, the worst of Labour Party is still better than the best of PDP and APC combined...", Okonkwo said.
