Nigerians have taken to their social media handles to bash the first lady, Aisha Buhari, for purportedly posting what appears to be fake news on her official Instagram page.
The press release shared on the first lady's Instagram page on Tuesday alleged that the old N500 and N1,000 notes should remain legal tender for the next 70 days until May 1.
However, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) labelled the release as fake news.
As of the time of filing this report, the fake release has been deleted from Aisha Buhari's page.
