David Ombugadu has defeated Nuhu Amgbazo to emerge as the PDP governorship candidate in Nasarawa State.
The Chief Returning officer, Batrure Musa, said Ombugadu polled 244 votes to clinch the ticket.
Ombugadu who was in tears appreciated everyone, especially the delegates for finding him fit to contest the election on the platform of the party.
Earlier, Former Nigeria's Minister of Information, Hon. Labaran Maku had withdrawn from the gubernatorial primaries.
Maku left the battle for the party's ticket between former two-term House of Reps Member, Dr. David Emmanuel Ombugadu (Mai Wanka) and newcomer, Major-General Nuhu Ekpaji Angbazo (rtd.),with Ombugadu emerging as the winner.
