Omoboyede Olusanya To Takeover Flour Mills As CEO Set To Exi

Flour Mills of Nigeria has appointed Omoboyede Olusanya as it's new Group Managing Director. Olusanya was appointed following the retirement of Paul Gbadebo. Olusanya will take charge of the position when Gbadebo's retirement become effective on December 31, 2020.

Olusanya joined Flour Mills of Nigeria this year January, as the Group Chief Operating Officer, to ease his transition to becoming the company's Chief Executive Officer. Olusanya's career revolves around Information Technology, Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and Telecommunications.

While commenting on the appointment of Olusanya, Flour Mills of Nigeria's Chairman, John Coumantaros, said, "I am happy to welcome Boye Olusanya as our new GMD/CEO. The board is confident that he is right person for the job. He is a seasoned professional and an exceptional business leader who will lead the group into the future as we continue to strengthen our brands and create value for investors and stakeholders."

Olusanya said, "It is an absolute honour, and I am committed to carry the legacy of our great company forward as we continue to deliver on our brand's golden promise of excellence. With the support of the board and my colleagues on the executive team, I can assure our customers, consumers and other stakeholders that we are poised for the next phase of growth and development."

On his exit from Flour Mills of Nigeria, Gbededo said, "I must say that I am confident that it is time to hand over leadership to the next generation. I have worked closely with Boye Olusanya, and I am confident that with him at the helm of affairs, the group is on course to reach even greater heights."
