Omolara Akanji, Emmanuel Emefienim Step Down From Sterling B

Just recently, it was reported that Dr. Omolara Akanji and Emmanuel Emefienim both left their jobs at Sterling Bank plc.

The information about Dr. Omolara Akanji's retirement and Emmanuel Emefienim's resignation was contained in a communique sent to the management of the Nigerian stock exchange.

According to Temitayo Adegoke, the company secretary and chief legal counsel,

"We wish to notify Nigerian Exchange Limited, our esteemed shareholders and the investing public of the retirement of Dr. Omolara Akanji and the resignation of Mr. Emmanuel Emefienim from the Board of Sterling Bank Plc (the Bank)."

"Dr. Omolara Akanji retired as an Independent Non-Executive Director after eight years of meritorious service to the Bank while Emefienim served on the Board as Executive Director, Institutional Banking Directorate", he added.

"The Board and management of Sterling Bank Plc thank both Dr. Akanji and Emefienim for their meritorious service and wish them continued success in their future endeavours", the statement concluded.
