The Ondo State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has expelled two of its former governorship aspirants, Jumoke Anifowose and Nath Adojutelegan.

Jumoke Anifowose is the daughter of the first Executive Governor in the state, Pa, Adekunle Ajasin.

Both Adojutelegan and Anifowose lost in last year’s APC primaries to Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.

The two aspirants have dragged the party to court, to register their dissatisfaction with the outcome of the party’s primary last year, they asked for an order of the court to cancel the primaries.

Last week, the Supreme Court threw out the suits for lacking in merit.

The spokesperson of the party, Alex Kalejaiye, at a press briefing in Akure, said the former governorship aspirants were expelled for engaging in anti-party activities.

The spokesperson said the part followed all the laid down rules as explained in Article 21 of the APC Constitution.

He said the state chapter will communicate the expulsion of the two former APC Chieftains to the national leadership of the party.
