Ondo Assembly warns politicians over interests to cause cris

The Ondo State House of Assembly has warned  politicians and other gladiators fanning the embers of war in the state because of their political interests to tread softly as the Assembly would  not hesitate to deploy the full weight of the law in calling them to order.

The Speaker of the House of Assembly, Olamide Oladiji, gave the warning on Tuesday evening during a plenary session.

Oladiji reiterated the legislature’s continued readiness to work with the other arms of government and other stakeholders towards enhancing the delivery of democracy dividends to people of the state.

He explained that President Bola Tinubu’s intervention had resolved all political differences that could have led to political crisis as a result of impeachment process against the state deputy governor on the allegations of gross misconduct.

According to him, the status quo of the governance of the state remains alongside the structure of the All Progressives Congress ( APC) leadership in the state.

The speaker, therefore, urged everyone to sheathe their sword, bury the hatchet and think of better ways to accelerate the much needed development of  in the interest of people of the state.

He said that there would be no development in an atmosphere devoid of peace.

Oladiji appreciated  the president for his timely intervention and extended the commendation to the leadership of  APC at the state and national levels for demonstrating leadership when occasion demanded.

The speaker also appreciated  Afenifere leaders, Pa Reuben Fasoranti and Pa Seinde Arogbofa among others, for their peace initiatives at a critical time, saying that  traditional rulers and religious leaders also a vital role.
