Following his victory at the October 10 governorship election, The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has issued Governor Rotimi Akeredolu his certificate of return.
Akeredolu who received the certificate from the Ondo State INEC’s Resident Electoral Commissioner, Rufus Akeju, at the commission's headquarters in Akure on Tuesday, commended the security agencies for maintaining peace and ensuring a smooth election.

He further praised INEC for the success of the October 10 governorship polls.
It will be recalled that Rotimi Akeredolu the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) polled a total of 292,830 votes to defeat Eyitayo Jegede of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) who polled a total of 195, 791 and his Deputy Governor who polled a total of 69, 127.
