As Nigerians follow the Ondo Election Update, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Eyitayo Jegede has triumphed in his polling unit.
AllNews reports that Eyitayo, a former Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in the Sunshine State won with a broad margin, garnering 220 votes at Unit 09, Ward 02, Akure South Local Government.
The PDP candidate defeated Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, who is the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and Agboola Ajayi, the candidate of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) in his polling unit.

Akeredolu collected 60 votes while Ajayi scored 7 votes.
