Ondo: Two Passengers Die In Auto Crash

Two unidentified passengers have lost their lives in an auto crash that has left several others injured. The crash happened along the Owo-Ifon road.

The crash happened at 10 am at Oyoyo, some 5 kilometers from Ikare junction, this is according to Mr. Rotimi Adeleye, the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ondo State.

The vehicles involved were a TYT Premier minubus with license plate number Ondo SMK 702 CE and a DAF Truck with license plate number Lagos MUS668 XC.

A total of eight people were involved in the crash that left two people dead; the corpses have been deposited at the Owo mortuary at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC).

The crash was attributed to a violation of traffic rules, and it was reported the other six passengers involved in the crash are currently at the Federal Medical Center in Owo, receiving treatment.

“We will continue to sustain our aggressive patrols across all major highways to ensure that road users adhere strictly to traffic rules and regulations to avoid road accidents,” he stated.
