One Dead, 10 Injured In Ogun Multiple Road Crash - FRSC

In multiple road crashes that happened in Ogun state on Monday, August 3, one person was confirmed dead and 10 others sustained injury.

This was revealed on Tuesday, August 4, by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).

According to the FRSC spokesperson, Florence Okpe, a total of three road crashes were recorded on Monday across Ogun state.

Okpe said, the first crash occurred along Dalemo area of Ota-Abeokuta road at about 8:45pm, involving three people, two men and a woman.

A Bajaj motorcycle was involved in the lone accident, suspected to have been caused by excessive speeding.

One of the men died in the accident, while the other two victims sustained injuries.

The spokesperson added that the corpse was deposited at Ifo General Hospital mortuary, while the injured victims had been taken to General Hospital, Ota.

The second crash, which was caused by excessive speeding, happened at Akinhale on Abeokuta-Lagos highway, at 1010hrs, involving a Toyota Corolla with registration number, LSR595GD.

There were seven people involved in the accident, comprising 3 adult males and 4 adult females. They all sustained injuries but no life was lost.

The FRSC rescued the injured victims of the crash to FRSC clinic, Itori, while the vehicle was towed to the police station.

The third crash involved five men and one woman. It happened on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway before Isara bridge at about 1515hrs. One man was injured, with no death recorded.
