The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) Osun Sector Command has announced a serious road accident which occurred on Saturday.
The First Information Report revealed that the crash occurred early on Saturday morning around the Asejire bridge, Ikoyi junction, along the Ikire-Ibadan expressway.
A commercial vehicle and a MAN Diesel truck registered with JAB Logistics were involved in overspeeding where one passenger was injured.
This made a truck that had been abandoned on the spot since it skidded off the road and hang by the bridge to fall into the river below.
The injured victim was taken to a hospital for treatment while the truck was towed off the bridge by the Ikire Division of the Osun State Police Command.
