One Killed, Others Injured In Osun Lone Crash

One person has been confirmed dead in a lone road traffic accident that occurred on Monday afternoon in Osogbo, Osun State.

According to information made available by the Osun Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), the crash occurred around the Osun State Government Secretariat, Abere on the Gbongan-Ibadan express road.

The accident which involved a white Toyota Hiace 18 seater bus with registration number EKY 213 XP occurred as a result of a speed violation.

First responders on the scene of the accident disclosed that the injured victims have been conveyed to the UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital while the dead passenger was taken away by family members for burial.

Of the twenty occupants of the vehicle, 18 sustained various degrees of injuries. The accident victims include seven adult males, ten adult females and one male child.

The Toyota Hiace bus has since been towed by the FRSC personnel to Dugbe Police Station, Osogbo.
