OnePlus 11 Concept To Feature 'Flowing Back' With Blue Lighting

OnePlus 11 Concept To Feature 'Flowing Back' With Blue Light

OnePlus 11 has teased a model called the OnePlus 11 Concept that features a lot of LED lighting to refute that story.

The "flowing back" includes a unibody glass construction, a ring around the camera module, and a meandering stream-style LED lighting pattern.

According to OnePlus, it will be unveiled on February 27th at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023 in Barcelona.

Using LED lights, OnePlus is taking a gaming PC-style approach to the design.

With features like a 120Hz display, super quick 100W charging, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, the OnePlus 11 is one of the best gaming phones available, so that makes sense.

Special edition phones from OnePlus have previously included Pac-Man and Star Wars-themed models.

This appears to be the first smartphone with external LED illumination, which borrows a design cue from the translucent, light-up back of the Nothing Phone 1.

It also takes some cues from the OnePlus 8T prototype, which had a rear that could change colours.

If you're wondering why there's lighting on the phone, the company explains that it does so to "show the engineering breakthroughs of the OnePlus 11 Concept by highlighting the icy blue pipelines which run through the entire back of the phone, almost like OnePlus 11 Concept has its own series of blood vessels."

It's unclear if the term "Concept" refers to a limited-edition phone that will be sold or if it just refers to a concept device.

If the latter, it would undoubtedly distinguish itself from other cellphones.

In any case, when it is revealed on February 27 at 3PM ET, we should find out more.
