OnePlus is set to launch on Thursday and the company has managed to attract interest around the upcoming smartphone that will be the real successor to the original Nord smartphone.
Ahead of the unveiling of the new Nord smartphone and the company’s all-new OnePlus Buds Pro, the company has been teasing the Buds Pro with teasers that highlight "Anti-noise, Pro sound."
The new Nord 2 will be the first smartphone launched after the formal announcement of the OnePlus and Oppo merger, making the new handset more crucial than ever. OnePlus Nord 2 5G has had several leaks that tips that the upcoming smartphone can be expected to come in a Red colour option.
The latest colour leak suggests that the upcoming mid-range smartphone from OnePlus will now arrive in a total of four colours which include Blue Haze, Grey Sierra, Green-Wood, and a Red colour option.
A notable tipster Evan Blass (@evleaks) shows that the upcoming OnePlus Nord 2 5G is expected to come in a Red colour option.
The company confirmed that the new Nord 2 will be launched with Android 11 out of the box and MediaTek Dimensity 1200-AI SoC, making it the first OnePlus smartphone to come with a MediaTek chipset. and OnePlus has confirmed that it will receive two years of software updates and three years of security updates.
The new Nord 2 has been confirmed to sport a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor with features like optical image stabilisation.
The new Nord 2 is said to pack a 4500mAh battery and support Warp Charge 65 according to a recent teaser on social media. The battery has been given a significant boost to match the OnePlus 9 series and beat the original Nord battery capacity and fast-charging support.
The official launch is expected to kick off at 7:30 pm IST on Thursday, and interested people can watch the live stream on the OnePlus Nord and OnePlus official YouTube channels.
