Online Begging: Yomi Fabiyi Criticizes Jaiye Kuti’s Statem

Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has taken a swipe at his senior colleague Jaiye Kuti over her recent comments regarding veteran actors who resort to begging online for financial support.

It was earlier reported that Jaiye Kuti expressed her disapproval of the trend of veteran actors seeking financial assistance on social media platforms.

She lamented the negative impact of their pleas on the reputation of the Yoruba movie industry and criticized their lack of financial planning for the future.

While some people applauded Jaiye Kuti for speaking the truth, others condemned her for her statements.

Among those who voiced their dissent was Yomi Fabiyi, who took to his Instagram page to slam the actress.

Fabiyi argued that if anyone needs help and chooses to seek public assistance, it should not be a cause for concern.

He suggested that if Jaiye Kuti is unable to help financially struggling actors or those in need, she should simply let them be.

The actor expressed his belief that the veterans should seek charity rather than engage in illicit activities to survive their present hardships.

He emphasized the need for understanding and respect for individuals’ decisions and actions, highlighting that everyone is responsible for their own choices.

Fabiyi acknowledged that many old actors are silently suffering and could face disgraceful outcomes if they do not seek help.

He called for a more organised and packaged approach to assisting them, urging people to avoid condemning those who choose to seek public charity.
