Only Quality Products Can Compete At International Market — SON

The Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON) says only made in Nigeria products produced according to standard can compete at the international market.

The Organisation's Director-General in Kano, Faruk Salim, while inspecting somw industries in the state on Thursday told the manufacturers that adhering strictly to  standardisation and quality assurance would make Nigerian products and services more acceptable in the international market.

“Our aim is to upgrade every industry across the country.

“Northern state are blessed with fertile land,  when we produce our own food it will boost the economy of the country.

“Today Kano is great in rice production.

The DG also tasked Nigerians on patronizing home made products, adding that not "everything foreign is the best". 

He said purchasing made in Nigeria products also enhances the chance to grow economy and empower the Federal Government.

The DG added that Standards organization of Nigeria is committed to providing standards and quality assurance services for all products and processes in Nigeria in line with international best practices and ensure continual improvement.
