Oppo Launches Reno5, Reno 5F With AMOLED Display Quad-Rear C

Chinese consumer electronics and mobile communications company, Oppo has launched the Reno 5 and Reno 5F smartphones in Nigeria. Both phones with AMOLED display quad-rear cameras and support 4G LTE was launched on Tuesday via live broadcast on Twitter.

The Reno 5 and Reno5f both have a 6.4-inches AMOLED screen with an FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate and 8GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage.

The camera app of Reno5 comes with features such as Dual-view video, AI Mixed portrait and AI Highlight Video for brighter and clear videos in low light. In front is a 44MP camera with beauty effect while the quad-rear camera includes a 64MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP mono camera.

Oppo Reno 5 is equipped with ColorOS 11 which has features such as Gamer Mode for the uninterrupted and enhanced gaming experience, Flex Drop for resizing apps into floating windows and hand gesture support that allows users to control their device without touching it. The Reno has an audio jack, an in-in display fingerprint scanner and a microSD card slot.

Reno 5 is equipped with a 4310mAh battery with support for 5w VOOCFlash Charger. The company claims its5 minutes charge will last for 3 hours of video playback and a full charge takes just 48 minutes and it comes with a Super Power Saving Mode and a Battery Guard that optimises charging when plugged in overnight.

The Reno5 comes with a price tag of NGN 169,000 on the Reno5 and it will be available for pre-order from March 21.

 Meanwhile, the Reno 5F has slightly different features, price and attributes that distinguished these two smartphones.

Reno 5F camera app has an AI Colour Portrait Video mode that highlights the colour of the subject while turning the background black and white. Its main camera is a 48MP f/1.7 sensor and it comes along with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2MP macro camera and a 2Mp mono camera. While its front camera is a 32MP sensor. There is also a monochrome video mode that highlights only one colour while turning everything else into monochrome.

Reno 5F comes with a 4310mAh battery with support for 30W VOOC Flash Charge 4.0. Users also get a USB-C port, an audio jack, an in-display fingerprint scanner with ColorOS 11 based on Android 11 pre-installed.

The Reno 5F is priced at NGN 129,900 and will be available for pre-order from March 21.
