Super Eagles striker and 2023 African Footballer of The Year Victor Osimhen leads the cast of players that will miss the team's international friendlies against the Black Stars of Ghana and the Lea Aigles of Mali in the next one week due to injuries, Allnews.ng reports

Osimhen sat out his team's Serie A game against Inter Milan over the weekend and has been declared not completely fit for the games in the Moroccan city of Marrakech. 

Also expected to miss out the matches include Nottingham Forest striker Taiwo Awoniyi, Empoli's right-wing back, Tyrone Ebuehi and new invitee, Luton Town's Gabriel Osho. 

However as at Tuesday afternoon, 16 Eagles players have reported to the Adam Park Hotel abode of the team. 

Goalkeepers Stanley Nwabali and Olorunleke Ojo, defenders Calvin Bassey, Semi Ajayi, Jamilu Collins, Bruno Onyemaechi and Benjamin Tanimo, midfielders Alex Iwobi, Raphael Onyedika and Alhassan Yusuf, and forwards Moses Simon, Nathan Tella, Cyriel Dessers, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Sadiq Umar and Ademola Lookman are the players cited in the team's hotel. 

The Nigeria Football Federation communications department disclosed that goalkeeper Francis Uzoho, defender Chidozie Awaziem, midfielders Frank Onyeka and Wilfred Ndidi, and forward Kelechi Iheanacho were being expected by Tuesday. 

Only Turkey-based defender Bright Osayi-Samuel is being expected on Wednesday.

The friendlies against Ghana and Mali will hold at the Grand Stade de Marrakech.
