Osimhen Ends Goal Drought Amid Row With Napoli

Victor Osimhen ended a run of four consecutive games without scoring with a goal in Napoli's 4-1 win over Udinese on Wednesday night.

It follows after the Super Eagles forward was mocked by the club in a video shared on social media.

The video, since deleted, on the Italian club's TikTok account showed the 24-year-old missing a crucial penalty against Bologna, with a high-pitched voice saying "gimme penalty please" dubbed over the top.

Subsequently, Osimhen's agent threatened to take legal action against the Serie A champions over the "unacceptable" video.

Napoli took the lead through Piotr Zielinski, who converted from the penalty spot after Khvicha Kvaratskhelia was fouled in the box.

Osimhen then scored his side's second goal when he slotted past Udinese goalkeeper Marco Silvestri six minutes before half-time but made no attempt to celebrate due to his row with the Partenopei.

Kvaratskhelia added a third when he dinked the ball over Silvestri and rolled it home, ending a run of 17 games without a goal.

Lazar Samardzic then got one back for Udinese with 10 minutes remaining but just a minute later substitute Giovanni Simeone restored Napoli's three-goal advantage.

The result sees fifth-placed Napoli move within four points of leaders Inter Milan.
