The result of the post-morterm examination carried out on the late gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu, has been released to the police, and her case transferred to the Directorate of Public Prosecutions.
The singer allegedly died of complications from domestic violence which she suffered from her husband, Peter Osinachi.
Peter, who is now in custody of the State Criminal Investigation Department, was arrested on April 10, after Osinachi's younger brother reported the case to the Police in Abuja.
Punch Newspaper reports that the Police would seek legal advice on the case as the report of the autopsy has been released.
Giving an update on the case on Monday, the Public Relations Officer of the Police command, Josephine Adeh, said the case was no longer handled by the police.
“The case is no longer with us. It is now with the DPP in the office of the Attorney General,” Adeh said.
