Osinachi's Death: Williams Uchemba Makes Known Stance On Domestic Violence

Osinachi's Death: Williams Uchemba Makes Known Stance On Dom

Nollywood actor Williams Uchemba, has advised people whose religious leaders tell them to go back to the house where they suffer domestic violence to change their place of worship.

On his Instagram story on Saturday, Uchemba argued that a religious leader who condones domestic violence needs therapy.

He added that he does not mind spending his last money on sending an abuser to jail if someone he knows and cares about reports the abuse to him.

“If you are being abused through domestic violence and you take the case to your pastor/imam/leader and he asks you to go back to the house where your abuser is, change the church.

"Cos that your leader needs therapy too,” Uchemba wrote.

“Because not recognizing that the issue is not from you but the man/woman that is the abuser is a major problem.

“And God help you if someone I know and care about comes to me and tells me they have been abused by you (whether physically or sexually or any kind).

"Thank God I have money cos I will make sure I use my last money to send you to jail..”

This comes after revelations that gospel singer Osinachi Nwachukwu, popular for her hit song, ‘Ekwueme’ did not die from an undisclosed ailment but from the constant abuse she suffered at the hands of her husband.
