Osun 2021 Budget Achieves 83.66% Performance End Of 3rd Quar

Osun Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Prof. Olalekan Yinusa has revealed that the state's 2021 budget has achieve an improved 83.66% performance as at the end of the third quarter of the year better than what the 2020 budget achieved as at the same time.

The Commissioner made the revelation today during a meeting of the Budget Implementation Committee for the consideration of the 3rd quarter progress of the year 2021 budget of the state.

Prof. Yinusa pointed out that the sterling performance of the budget has proven that Governor Adegboyega Oyetola is determined to continue to put smiles on the faces of the people through the implementation of all that's contained in the budget estimate he presented to the House of Assembly.

He said the state through the Governor is determined to continue to drive reforms that will make the state more progressive in terms of putting in place infrastructures that will speed up economic growth and development across the nooks and crannies of the state.

The Commissioner stressed that the continuous improvement of the state's budget performance since 2018 till date is something to be proud of, saying it means Mr Governor through all the Ministries, Departments and Agencies of Government are doing something right.

According to him, "Our budget performance for the last three years has been on a steady rise which is something to be excited about and it also means that we are doing something right and which we should be proud of.

"We also have a Governor who is very passionate about the welfare of the people, he tells us to put into the budget only what is doable and something that will have direct impact on the masses of the state. 

"We have a Governor who is determined to implement everything that is included in the budget, that is why our budget is performing so well even in the midst of the harsh economic realities.

"I want to assure residents of this state that Governor Oyetola will continue to consider them in everything he does, he will continue to run an open and people friendly government that is accountable to only the masses who gave him their mandate", he stated.
