Osun 2022: Workers Described As Important Stakeholders

It has been revealed that Osun workers have a gargantuan role to play in ensuring that Governor Gboyeya Oyetola is returned to office in the July 16th gubernatorial election.

This assertion was made separately at Ifedayo, Ila, and Boluwaduro Local Government Areas by the Chairman, Osun Local Government Service Commission, Elder Tunde Adedeji during a monitoring exercise to the areas along with political functionaries and the management of the Commission.

The LGSC boss who reminded the workers that they are the closest to the electorate in all the nooks and crannies of the state charged the entire workers to go all out in canvassing those within their sphere of influence by trumpeting the good works of the current administration.

He remarked that Governor Oyetola who inherited humongous debt on the assumption of office had, in less than four years in office, paid over half of the total sum, without halting developmental projects.

Adedeji who avered that the love of the state helmsman for public servants is unquantifiable, advanced that he keeps paying workers' salary and allowances, as and when due despite dwindling resources.

While asserting that one good turn deserves another, the Commission Chairman admonished the workers to reciprocate the Governor's kind gesture with votes in order to enjoy more dividends of democracy.

He harped on the need to give the Governor the opportunity of a second term in office in order to enable him to lay a solid foundation for the continued growth of the state.

In their seperate remarks, the Chairmen of the Local Government Areas visited expressed assurances of over ninety percent support from their workers during the forthcoming elections.
