Osun Amotekun Warns Criminals As It Begins Night Patrol

The Amotekun Corps of Osun State has stated that the aim of its decision to begin night patrols in all the local government areas of the state is to strengthen the security apparatus and to protect the lives and properties of residents of the state against any form of criminality.

This was made known by the Field Commander, Amitolu Shittu revealed that that the patrol began last week and criminals in Osun were therefore warned to steer clear of the state as the corps was determined to rid them from the state.

Assuring that the corps would continue to adopt proactive security strategies against any form of security threat in the state, Shittu explained that sufficient personnel had been assigned to provide security in the State.

While assuring the residents of the state that there is no course for alarm, he disclosed that Amotekun operatives have been patrolling the entire state against any form of security threats.

According to him, "We will continue to map out comprehensive security measures that will enable us apprehend all kinds of criminals in the state.

"We have identified and deployed corps Strike Force to dangerous spots for that purpose."

He solicited the support of traditional rulers and stakeholders in sensitising residents to volunteer information that would aid the corps and other security agencies in apprehending criminals in their midst.
