The Osun House of Assembly has approved the confirmation of the six nominees sent by Governor Adegboyega Oyetola on June 23.
The motion for their confirmation was moved by Babatunde Komolafe, lawmaker representing Atakumosa East/West State Constituency.
Simeon Popoola, who chaired a seven-man ad hoc committee that screened the nominees had earlier submitted its committee's report and recommended that all the nominees be confirmed.
The Assembly Speaker, Timothy Owoeye, said the ad hoc committee setup to screen the nominees operated under Section 103 of the Constitution of Nigeria 1999.
Owoeye added that the governor can thereafter go ahead and swear in the nominees after the assembly had confirmed their nomination for the designated positions.
The confirmed ex-cabinet members were screened on Friday, by the seven-man ad hoc committee setup by the Assembly Speaker, Timothy Owoeye, on June 23.
The confirmed former cabinet members, however, included: Bode Olaonipekun, Olubukola Olaboopo, Sola Oladepo, Aleem Bakare, Lateefat Giwa and Olanike Omoworare.
