Osun State House of Assembly has vowed to ensure the exercise of due diligence in the performance of their oversight functions as part of their legislative duties.

This was made known by the Chairman House Committee on Public Works and Transport, Waheed Abiola, while on inspection of Osogbo East By-pass road roads.

The Chairman and some other members of the committee however expressed displeasure over the pace at which the projects were being executed.

"I enjoin the contractors to avoid being clogs in the wheel of Governor Adeleke's continuity agenda.

"The contractors should also not compromise on quality in their attempt to meet up with the deadlines stipulated for the contract."

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works and Transport, Engr Basiru Bello, who led the team, projected that with the rate at which the intervention projects are coming in rapid succession.

Represented by the Director, Planning Research and Statistics, Engr. Olalekan Salami, he averred that very soon Osun may be free of all bad roads.

He further enjoined all Osun residents to work hand in hand with Governor Adeleke by maintaining proper usage of the roads and drainages.
