Osun CP Charges Artisans To Shun Sharp Practices

The Osun State Commissioner of Police, Olawale Olokode, has charged artisans in the state to be upright in their dealings and avoid sharp practices.

Olokode said this on Tuesday when he received the leadership of the Osun State Aluminum Maker’s Association, OSAMA, who paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Osogbo.

The police boss assured OSAMA members and in extension, every other artisans in the state, of readiness to work with them towards protecting their rights and to improve the security of the State.

“I want to assure you of our readiness to work with you. Every stakeholder is welcome on board. It’s always good you have an association we can relate with and I’m sure it will I’m communicating issues to the grassroots.

"All your challenges are noted and will be addressed. I’m particularly happy that you said some DPOs are cooperating.

“Also, I want to charge you to warn your members against sharp practices. Ensure you have a working internal mechanism that will checkmate members that are defaulting or involving in any kind of sharp practices. This will help protect your image as an association and will also reduces disputes,” Olokode said.

Earlier, the Chairman of OSAMA, Osogbo zone, Tajudeen Yussuf, commended the police under CP Olokode, stating that security of lives and properties has improved.

Yussuf highlighted challenges facing the Aluminum Makers in the State, calling for the support of the police to combat the challenges.
