Osun CP Issues Warning Ahead Of Inauguration

Ahead of Sunday's inauguration ceremony of Senator Ademola Adeleke as governor of Osun State, the Osun State Commissioner of Police, Faleye Sunday Olaleye has disclosed that all security agencies in the state are ready to deal with any disruption.

This is as he warned political miscreant who are intent on threatening to disrupt the inauguration process on November 27 to steer clear of the venue of the ceremony.

Olaleye, who is chairman of the Joint Security Council, revealed this on Tuesday while leading other heads of security agencies on an inspection to the Osogbo Township Stadium.

The inspection became possible in order to map out strategies for the day.

“We have heard a lot of rumours and misinformation that the programme may be disrupted, thugs are coming in to take the pack by force, burn party offices, tear posters,

"We just want to warn them, they should not dare us, and anyone who wants to foment trouble will have themselves to blame.

“We are aware that there are thug and we have met with the executives of the two parties and they have assured us that nothing will distort Sunday’s programme.

“But the third party spreading misinformation must know that we are equal to that task.

"As we have discussed in the meeting, we have mapped out our plans.

"We just want to sound a note of warning, nobody should dare us," he added.

While maintaining that it is not business as usual as the security agencies know their job, Olaleye however appealed to parents and guardians to warn their wards against being used to foment trouble.

He encouraged law-abiding citizens with intent to grace the inauguration ceremony to come as the security agencies have out in adequate security before, during and after the ceremony.
