Osun Governor Solicites Osun Assembly Cooperation

The Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke has solicited the cooperation of the Osun State House of Assembly members in his administration.

Governor Adeleke made the plea in his address to members of the House of Assembly during a courtesy visit to the House of Assembly on Tuesday.

He solicited the support of all the lawmakers in joining hands with his administration to move the state forward.

"I want everyone to join me to move the state forward.

"I want hand of fellowship from you all and solicit your cooperation too" he added."

While noting that the government can not do it alone without the support of the State House of Assembly, Adeleke promised that his administration would not cheat anyone but will carry everyone along.

He also pledged that the state would be first and unique in the country in term of development.

"l promise that every one will be happy and there will be peace in the state.

"My administration would continue from where the last administration stop for the progress of the state and I also promise to have good communication and rapour with the lawmakers."

In his remarks, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Timothy Owoeye who described the House of Assembly as the secret and beauty of democracy of any land confirmed that the House of Assembly is the bedrock of democracy.

He promised to continue with good cooperation with the new state executive and noted that the 7th Assembly would not be blind to beauty of democracy.

"We must strengthen our channels of communication. We promise to continue with good relationship and harmony," he added.
