A Non-Governmental Organisation, Muslim Initiave on Right and Justice (MIRAJ), has called on Osun government to reconsider the process that led to the emergence of Oba Kasali Olagunju, as the Akosin of Ekosin in Odo-Otin town.

The group National Amir, Adeniyi Adams, said this in a statement on Wednesday in Osogbo.

Adams said MIRAJ being a human right group that addresses injustice frowned against the process that produced the new traditional ruler.

He called on the Osun Sate governor, Ademola Adeleke, to effect the removal of the traditional ruler, Oba Olagunju.

"The new self-acclaimed traditional ruler was not part of the ruling house in Odo-Otin town and should be removed immediately with thorough investigation and prosecution.

”A declaration made in respect of Akosin of Ekosin chieftancy in 1955 does not mentioned any ruling house called Adiho ruling house.

”The five ruling house are Oyesoji ruling house; Oyerinde ruling house; nyabilolu ruling house; Ahunloye ruling house and ninuola ruling house."

Adams said the next king was supposed to come from the Nyabilolu Ruling House, after the demise of the former Akosin of Ekosin, Oba Samson Onaolapo.

”We want the state governor to urgently looked into this matter in order to prevent any protest that could lead to breach of public peace and loss of lives.

“The self-acclaimed traditional ruler’s family was not among the ruling houses to mount the royal stool of Akosin of Ekosin and should be removed,” he said.
