Osun Guber: South West NANS Congratulates PDP's Ademola Adel

The South West Chapter of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has congratulated Ademola Adeleke of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on his emergence as the Governor-elect of Osun State in the recently-concluded election.

In a statement made available to AllNews Nigeria, the body said the vibrancy and dynamism displayed so far in representing the people of Ede has necessitated his emergence as the Governor-Elect of Osun State.

NANS also lauded the people of Osun for making their votes count and standing firm to the mandate.

The statement reads; “There can be no greater evidence of His Excellency, Senator Ademola Adeleke satisfactory performance than being entrusted with the return ticket to further improve the lot of his people.

“We hereby urge His Excellency, Senator Ademola Adeleke to reinforce his efforts and serve the good people of Osun State even more meritoriously by sponsoring more projects that directly impact and impart on the people and most especially the Students Constituency.

“In the same vein, we commend the good people of Osun State for making their votes count and standing firm to the mandate.

“This turn of events is in concordance with our policy of accountability.

"Every public office holder must be held accountable by the constituency/state and the non-performers be either recalled or prevented from getting another term.

“Going forward, we hope that other states, contestants and political parties shall emulate the Osun State people by rejecting personal interest-driven politicians from public offices.

“Even as we harp on the full implementation of the ‘Not Too Young To Run Bill’, young leaders must non-negotiably perform well so as to pave way for more young people in government.

"Quality and not quantity must triumph always!”
