Osun Monarch, Owa Of Igbajo Is Dead

Owa of Igbajo, Oba Olufemi Fashade, is dead.

The monarch of the town in Osun State was reported to have joined his ancestors on Thursday.

Oba Fashade reportedly died after failing to recover from an illness. Oba Fashade, a retired soldier, was installed Owa of Igbajo in 1990.

A source in the town, said according to Punch, “But the formal announcement of his passage won’t be done until all necessary rites are completed,”

Oba Olufemi Fashade was enthroned as Owa of Igbajo in 1990.

Oba Fashade was an ex-soldier as well as the number citizen of Igbajo community.

The high point of Oba Fashade’s reign was the creation of a tertiary institution in a community called Igbajo Polytechnic.

Igbajo, for those who do not know, is a town in Osun State, Nigeria.

This is coming a few days after the director of administration in the palace of the Olu of Warri, Chief Clement Malaghemi revealed that the Olu of Warri, HRM Ogiame Ikenwoli is not dead.

The palace official on Tuesday disclosed that contrary to earlier reports that the traditional ruler has passed on, the Monarch is only ill at the moment and receiving treatment.
