Osun NYSC Gets New State Coordinator

The National Directorate Headquarters of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has appointed Winifred Shokpeka as its Osun State Coordinator.

A statement made available to DAILY POST reveals that the new state Coordinator hails from Delta State and she bagged a Bachelor of Education in English and Literature from the University of Benin in 1992. 

According to the statement, Shokpeka joined the NYSC as an inspector after successfully completing her one-year mandatory service in the Corps Welfare and Health Department of NYSC in 1993.

The new state coordinator has worked in various state secretariats which included Kaduna, Niger, Lagos, Osun, and Lagos, where she was until her transfer to the National Directorate Headquarters, Abuja upon her promotion as Deputy Director.

Before her appointment as State Coordinator, Shokpeka was the Deputy Director Discipline and Merit of the Corps Welfare and Health Services Department, Abuja. 

It noted that her penchant for excellence has earned her several awards and commendations from Director Generals and management of the Scheme at all levels.

Her maxim is finding herself and being the best of herself and also working with and helping young people discover and stay grounded in the right path.

The outgone state coordinator, Ayodele Adegoke had resumed in Osun State on June 17, 2019.
