Osun Police Confirm Kidnap Of Couple

Kidnappers have struck again by abducting a couple along the Odeomu/Gbongan Road in Osun State

The incident occured around 5:00 am on Monday, May 8, 2023, at Oogi Ojudo in Ayedade local government of the state

It was gathered that the pair were heading to Osogbo from Lagos when they were waylaid and marched into the bush.

The couple were said to have been returning from Lagos where they went to buy some goods.

The husband later escaped from the kidnappers’ den while the wife still remains in captivity.

The spokesperson for the State Police Command, Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the incident in Osogbo on Monday.

Opalola assured that the police operatives are on the trail of the suspects.

"Search and rescue operation has commenced," she added.
