Osun Assembly Speaker, Timothy Owoeye
The Speaker, Osun State House of Assembly, Timothy Owoeye, has emerged as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Ilesa East State Constituency.
He is to contest against other political parties for the Osun State House of Assembly in the 2023 general election.
Owoeye's win on Thursday is his fifth consecutive ticket. He scored 3792 votes to defeat Kolawole Victor who polled 28 votes.
Meanwhile, Lawrence Babatunde Ayeni is the APC candidate for Ijesa South Federal Constituency while Babatunde Festus Komolafe and Wale Adedoyin are both the party candidates for the Atakunmosa East and West and Ilesa West State Constituencies.
