Osun Tribunal Judgement Miscarriage Of Justice - Adeleke

Osun Tribunal Judgement Miscarriage Of Justice - Adeleke

The Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke has described the outcome of Osun election petition tribunal as a temporary miscarriage of justice which will not see the light of the day.

Governor Adeleke stated this at a stakeholders meeting held with the executives, chieftains and members of Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) in Osogbo on Sunday.

Adeleke also described the judgement as lacking in any known judicial substance

He added that the outcome will not in anyway dissuade him from carrying out his usual constitutionally assigned roles and responsibilities of being the duly elected governor of the people of Osun state .

While calling on all and sundry in the state to remain calm, resolute and unperturbed by the shoddy and shocking judgement, the Osun helmsman stated that he is battle ready to challenge the judgment at the appeal Court to reclaim his mandate .

Notwithstanding the present development which he described as temporal, Adeleke vowed that his administration will continue to give people the much sought dividends of democracy which eluded them in the past, especially during the immediate past administration.

Senator Adeleke however enjoined members of the PDP and the people of the state in general not to be discouraged by the outcome of the Tribunal but to embark on serious campaigns as usual as a way of consolidating on the winning streaks of the PDP in next elections.

Earlier in his opening address, the PDP Caretaker Committee Chairman in Osun, Dr Akindele Adekunle appreciated Governor Adeleke, party members and Osun People for their steadfastness in standing by the party at all times.

The state PDP Chairman noted that the party had been able to show its power and strength across the state the day the judgement was delivered as people completely denounced and condemned the verdict of the election petition tribunal.

He described the court judgement as not only an aberration but null and void which will not stand the test of time.

Akindele charged the party faithful to be committed to the ideals of going all out in large number with a view to winning the forthcoming general elections.
