A retuning officer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Jide Joona has been attacked by hoodlums in the Ikire area of Osun State.
AllNews Nigeria reports that there have been reports circulating the media space that Jide Joona was shot dead.
But reports reaching us reveals that he was indeed attacked but not dead.
A close source told our correespondent that the PDP chieftain did not die but is receiving medical treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
The Osun gubernatorial election which held on Saturday was judged to be peaceful despite reports of vote-buying and voter intimidation in some wards and polling units.
