Otti Sworn In As Abia State Governor

 Dr Alex Otti has taken the oath of alliance and office as the fifth executive Governor of Abia State. 

He took the oath alongside his Deputy, Ikechukwu Emetu, before the Chief Judge of Abia State Lilian Abai at the Umuahia on Monday, May 29, 2023.

Otti won the 2023 Governorship election under the platform of the Labour Party.

He had contested the 2015 and 2019 Governorship elections under the platform of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).

The event was graced by a former Abia State Chief Theodore Orji, his counterpart of River State Rotimi Amaechi, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, Senator Athan Acholaonu, the National Chairman of the Labour Party Julius Abureh and the  Speaker Abia State House of Assembly Chinedum Orji.
