Outrage On Twitter As APC Thanks Buhari For A 'Bomb Free Chr

Nigerians on Twitter have expressed outrage as the All Progressives Congress (APC) on its Twitter page thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for a bomb-free Christmas.

The party took to its Twitter page to hail the president and ministry of defence, triggering a backlash from Nigerians who will not be quick to forget the attack Zabarmari community in Borno that led to the death of over 40 farmers and incessant attacks of Boko Haram, bandits and kidnappers in the region.

Thanking President Buhari for a bomb-free Christmas, a tweet by APC read: "Another bombing-free Christmas. Thank you, President Buhari. Thank you @DefenceInfoNG Thank you security agencies for all your hard work. The nation is grateful."

Below are reactions to the tweet by APC:

@BenUchenna2 wrote "With all the killings, bombing and arson attacks on Churches in Borno state, the APC still has the guts to mock the dead. May God have them mocked the same way too."

@Albertopiro3 wrote: "With all the kidnapping In the north??? Yesterday another was kidnapped at Kaduna praying camp, so what all this praise for?"

@teesquare09 wrote "Una no get shame oo... Which nation is grateful?"

@AyoolaJnr77 wrote "I thought it's only the candidates of the party that are stupid & useless but this here just proof me wrong"

@sarcastic_kings wrote "With all this going on in Borno you still have the audacity to tweet this Nonsense. May you all experience what the families in the north are experiencing".

AllNews recalls that there have been calls for the sack of service chiefs over the growing concerns of insecurity in the nation.

The clamour for the sack of the service chiefs became more intense after the attack on Zabarmari community in Borno state and the abduction of over 300 students of Government Science Secondary School Kankara in Katsina state.
