Over 120 Vehicles Returned By Former Malian Officials

Malian Government officials who received exotic cars under the reign of the ousted president, Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, have returned them on the order of the current military leaders.

The military group requested that the officials returned the vehicles stating that they should “hand back government vehicles that had been put at their disposal," and had been given until Tuesday to return them.

A source at the garage where the vehicles were returned to said that 120 vehicles belonging to the government had been returned.

Another said that the cars returned were so many that space had to be created elsewhere.

The former Minister of Information, Yaya Sangare, said, “These are cars that I stopped using after the government resigned on June 11, 2020, and I was waiting for the official handover.”
