The funeral mass for those who lost their lives to the terror attack by gunmen at Saint Francis Catholic Church, Owo, Ondo State, commenced on Friday, thirteen days after the tragedy.
According to reports, 40 people perished in the unfortunate incident on June 5 when the assailants unleashed a hail of bullets on worshippers.
Daily Post reports that the funeral mass began at 10 am on Friday after the caskets in which the bodies were laid were taken to Mydas Resort, Owo.
Filled to capacity, the venue had Governor Rotimi Akeredolu in attendance, along with other top dignitaries.
The event commenced following the procession into the hall by Catholic priests.
