Oyetola, Makinde To Flag Off Osogbo-Iwo-Ibadan Road

The Osun State Governor Adegboyega Oyetola and his Oyo State counterpart, Seyi Makinde will on Thursday flag off the reconstruction of Osogbo-Iwo-Ibadan road.

The road reconstruction was jointly awarded by the government of the two states.

The Osun Commissioner for Works and Transport, Remi Omowaye made the disclosure in a statement issued on Wednesday in Osogbo.

According to him, the ceremony for the project is to be performed by governors of both states in front of the Trade Fair complex, Osogbo by 12:00 noon.

Omowaiye also noted that the project upon completion, will enhance socio-economic activities, boost security and ease movement of people and goods between the two states.

"The government wishes to use this medium to appeal to the general public particularly motorists plying the route to cooperate with the Contractor while the construction work lasted.

"We further appeal to the general public to obey all the traffic rules and Law enforcement Officers who shall direct all motorists appropriately for seamless situation," the statement concluded.
