    An All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain and gubernatorial aspirant, Adebayo Adelabu, has defected to the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

    Sources say the cause of his sudden defection was on account of his failure to secure the party’s ticket in the recently concluded Oyo APC guber primary election.

    This move is coming a few hours after he lost the APC gubernatorial ticket to Senator Teslim Folarin, a former PDP member who joined the APC.

    Meanwhile, a former secretary to Oyo State Government, Sharafadeen Alli has pulled out of 2023 APC Oyo South Senatorial contest.
