Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has given the nod for the dissolution of the Mukaila Lamidi aka Auxiliary-led Disciplinary Committee of the Park Management System (PMS) in the state.

The Chief of Staff to the governor, Segun Ogunwuyi, disclosed this in a statement on Monday in Ibadan.

The dissolution according to the statement is with immediate effect.

"I have the directive of the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde to inform you of the dissolution of the Disciplinary Committee, Park Management System with immediate effect from today, Monday, 29th May, 2023,” Ogunwuyi said.

On Monday, February 17, 2020 Governor Seyi Makinde inaugurated park managers for the 33 local governments across the state with two disciplinary committees to intervene whenever conflicts arose.

The factional NURTW leader in the state, Mukaila Lamidi was appointed as chairman of PMS disciplinary committee.

The then Commissioner for Works and Transport, Professor Adeniyi Afonja said that the PMS would bring sanity in the management of motor parks.

He also said the managers would be coordinated by a consultant to ensure compliance with the terms of reference, while the disciplinary committees would intervene where there are issues between the state government and park managers.
