The German midfielder arrived in North London and he has over 254 appearances in all competitions for Arsenal - scoring or assisting over 111 goals.

However, despite a seven-year-long spell with the club, the German’s time in the country’s capital looks set to be finally coming to an end.

He almost joined Barcelona in the 2016-17 season but an agreement could not be reached.

According to recent reports, Ozil is currently in talks with his club over the possibility of terminating his current contract which still has nine months before expiration.

The recent Europa League Group state squad saw Mesut Ozil missing out as he reaches the tail end of his time at the Emirate Stadium.

The midfielder earns a whooping £350,000-per week at Arsenal and is believed to be holding out to be paid the full £13m which is almost all of what’s left on his contract.
